WOOD-FRAME STORM/SCREEN SASH
These are custom-fit exterior wood sash that replicate a traditional wood storm window from the exterior and also have a built-in screen which can be alternated from the inside of the building. They are designed to be installed flush with existing brickmold and sash hangers (as per a traditional storm window). Standard construction of these storm/screen sash uses 5/4 poplar stock and mortised joinery, with 2-1/4" siderails, 3-1/2" bottom rail, and a 1-3/4" midrail (for double hung windows) set to align with the sight lines of the prime window. Top and side edges are kerfed and fitted with a high grade silicon bulb weatherstrip. The removable storm and screen panels are constructed within an extruded aluminum frame and use black aluminum screening and double-strength 1/8" glass. Finish options are "prime-only" or custom finish painted (any Benjamin Moore or Sherwin Williams color).
