BUILDING HISTORY
Lyons Historic Window was responsible for rehabilitation of all the original double-hung windows and wood entry doors in the building. The windows were in very poor condition at the outset of the project, with numerous window components warped beyond repair and many window frames very out of square due to structural settling of the brick masonry walls. Window rehabilitation included removal of all windows, squaring of the window frames, selective replacement in-kind of non-salvageable window components, wood epoxy consolidation, re-finishing, and re-installation with full double-hung operation. Several new windows were also constructed to match where the originals were removed in prior renovations. The entry doors also received complete restoration to NPS standards, including fabrication of the new etched and art glass similar to the original, and restoration of the original hardware.
